Inspiring Color Palettes for Spring

I love digging through textiles and swatches to stimulate new ideas; here are a couple collages that turned up during my latest textile whirlwind. As a designer, it’s easy to get caught up with projects, to-do lists and the business side of things. Believe it or not, a large portion of my time is spent on organization and tasks that I would not consider to be creative. I’m subject to the mundane, boring responsibilities like any other business owner. In a perfect world, my days would be spent brainstorming, seeking inspiration, gaining energy from travel and experiences, all while stretching my creative muscle to the max. So when I catch an opportunity to gain inspiration, whether it be through graphic or interior design- count me in! From wall coverings, quartz surfaces, leather / fabric swatches, paint chips and other textiles, these are the materials I find myself rummaging through. While composing these two collages, I must have been dreaming of spring and summer sunshine on a coast somewhere- complete with organic and natural materials, a breeze blowing through, and just the right amount of pattern. The quarts surfaces used in the collages are Pure White (lower) and Jet Black (upper), both can be found at Caesarstone.
